Whether you’ve got a warning, content removal, or even a ban from Tinder, that can now – finally – be reversible!
Tinder just released its new launch called Appeal Center.
Essentially, this launch allows Tinder users to directly send an appeal to Tinder regarding a ban, warning, or content removal without having to email them or go about ways that would further violate Tinder’s rules and guidelines.
For those who got shadowbanned, or are experiencing issues and didn’t receive a formal Tinder notification or warning about it: you won’t be able to make use of this feature.
How do you use the Appeal Center on Tinder?
According to Tinder, it’s very simple:
- Go to Tinder’s Appeal Center,
- Login with your current account (the one that got you banned, for example).
- Look for the violation you made on Tinder (the one you’re trying to appeal). Note: You can select more than one.
- Begin Appeal.
- Submit Appeal.
Here’s why you’re not seeing the ‘Appeal’ option!
That would be unfortunate, however, there’s a list of possible reasons why you might not be seeing the option to appeal. Here:
- The Appeal Center is not available to you yet. Since it’s a new launch, it can take some time for it to be accessible to all Tinder users. It appears your time hasn’t come yet.
- It’s been more than 6 months since you did the particular violation. According to Tinder, you can’t appeal for violations older than 6 months. For example, if you got banned more than 6 months ago, you won’t be able to appeal the ban through the Appeal Center (you’ll have to rely on other methods).
3 reasons why your violation might be unappealable.
This is supposed to work for the majority of Tinder users, however, you might be helpless if:
- Your account received the ban, warning, or content removal before the Appeal Center was launched.
- You’re trying to appeal something else other than a ban, warning, or content removal from Tinder.
- You already appealed the specific issue. Note: you can find it in the Appealed list.
You’ll get the evaluation results through the labels on your appeal
After appealing your appeal can be found in a tab called Appealed.
In that tab, if you made more than one appeal you’ll find the list of the appeals you made with specific labels next to them. Here’s what each of them mean:
- In Review. This means your appeal is being evaluated or reviewed by Tinder.
- Approved. This is a good news label! It means Tinder approved your appeal and you’re good to go!
- Denied. As simple as the word, your appeal didn’t make it through and got denied by Tinder. Note: Unfortunately, you can’t appeal again for the same issue.
You might find it helpful: Tinder also released a glossary regarding their Appeal Center. You might find it helpful if in need of more information regarding particular terms.
Since the Appeal Center has just launched, obviously, it still has room for improvement, however, it seems like a good start considering the complaints for Tinder bans and other penalizations to its users.
This is all the news regarding it. The future seems promising though.
