A new issue seems to be emerging from Tinder, and this time people can’t seem to verify even the fact they’re human!
Users are stuck in an infinite loop, unable to complete this puzzle once and for all. As it turns out, shadowbanning may be the root.
But you don’t have to worry about that as I will be showing you how to get rid of this problem once and for all.
– Why is Tinder’s CAPTCHA glitching?
Tinder has not addressed this issue, so it’s a bit trickier to give you a lot an answers to this question.
However…
I put my thinking cap on and set to sail the World Wide Web, looking as to why this is happening to very real, human users on Tinder.
This is what I found:
– This issue occurs with banned/shadowbanned users.
From the data I’ve gathered, the ones suffering the most from this problem are users who are shadowbanned, or have been/are banned currently.
If I had to take a gander as to why, I’d say that Tinder wants to keep rebellious users out of the platform.
It recognizes users who want to log in or sign up based on the information they provide (e.g., phone numbers).
In other words, Tinder is sabotaging you as a form of punishment!
– It simply wants to verify your identity, but ran into a glitch.
Many people running into this issue end up bypassing it simply after re-trying the process a couple more times.
This leads us to believe that a technical issue stopping users from completing the puzzle may be at play here—either on Tinder or the user’s end.
As for you, make sure to check your internet connection as Tinder could be stopping your actions due to a janky internet connection.
– It’s detecting bot-like behavior.
Most dating apps’ background check systems include processes in which bots are differentiated from humans, meaning Tinder might have logged you out because it thinks you’re a fake.
It might be your photos and personal info (or lack of), your VPN connection (which Tinder discourages), or getting repeatedly reported by other users.
For instance, if multiple Tinder matches have reported you under the impression you’re a bot, Tinder will try to confirm those suspicions.
That’s only a courtesy on their end, though, as you’ll be kept away indefinitely if the Tinder Team has decided you’re not to be trusted.
How do you get out of the Tinder Puzzle Verification?
Keep in mind that we’re talking about theory—since not even Tinder acknowledges this defect, it’s up to us to come up with potential solutions.
Since there are 3 possible triggers that we know of, I have compiled ways to overcome them.
You must first identify YOUR issue and pick the appropriate fix based on it.
For the sake of time, resources, and patience, I will start with the easiest methods, working my way up to the most hardcore ones.
1. Keep trying until it fixes itself.
Many people dealing with this matter have been able to solve it by sheer persistence. They tried the same thing 3 to 4 times.
So before you resort to anything else, solve the puzzle around 10 more times (just to be safe) in case Tinder’s having technical difficulties. Keep going even if the dice puzzle feels impossible until you solve it correctly.
If it doesn’t work, exit the app and take a 24-hour break from Tinder to let it cool down; return after 24 hours and try again.
Using the DatingZest Tinder service, to get a new number and sign up for a new Tinder account will avoid appearing in the human puzzle.
2. Check your internet connection and disable VPN.
I have 2 hypotheses regarding the role your internet connection might be playing in the Tinder puzzle loop.
1. Your Wi-Fi connection is poor.
What if a bad internet day is behind all of this?
You’re trying to complete the puzzle, but your attempts are not being registered in Tinder’s servers, making it throw you inside this whirlwind pool.
See if your Wi-Fi is running properly. If not, you can:
- Contact your Internet Service Provider;
- Restart your Wi-Fi router;
- Use your phone’s data;
- Or use a different internet connection, such as a nearby restaurant!
2. You’re using a VPN.
Yeah, VPNs come in handy if your IP address is blacklisted, but there’s another possibility…
Because VPNs are sometimes used to work around some of Tinder’s very important identity verification processes, they’re frowned upon.
Just so that we’re in the safe, undergo Tinder’s human verification puzzle without being connected to any VPNs, NordVPN, or ExpressVPN, just disable them.
3. Get the puzzle piece wrong on purpose.
For reasons unknown, some users have reported getting through this flaw by purposely messing up.
If I had to guess, it’s because you’d be no longer stuck on the same screen as Tinder is forced to take another action. Think of it as a wake-up call.
There might have been something wrong with that initial prompt or a server problem…we can’t say for sure!
4. Clear the Tinder app’s cache and then data.
An app’s “cache” is all of the multimedia files stored on your phone when using an app. This is something you can delete without deleting the app itself.
It’s often seen as a troubleshooting method for apps that are not working well, so do try this if you think Tinder’s at fault:
On Android phones, you can go to Settings -> Apps -> Storage -> Delete Cache. Be careful not to accidentally click on Delete Data!
Apple Devices do not have this function, but they have something similar called Offload Apps, which gets rid of files until the next time you need them.
Know that doing this deletes the app as well, but your data remains.
And if deleting the cache does not work your only option is to delete the data as well, which you can also do by reinstalling Tinder from your phone.
5. Submit a request to Tinder.
You can submit a request to Tinder, kindly asking to overview your issue.
Under the “What can we help with?” tab, pick either “Trouble with account login” or “A Tinder feature isn’t working”.
Depending on which you pick, you’ll be required to give more information about your issue and personal details.
Tell them how you’re unable to complete Tinder’s human verification puzzle and do your best to explain the error!
6. The hostile route: Issue a complaint to BBB.org.
The Better Business Bureau aims to build that bridge between consumer and company.
Sometimes, the company in question (Tinder) doesn’t want the bridge to be built (it ignores your request)—this is where BBB steps in.
Here you can file a complaint going over the Tinder Puzzle Verification issue. After you’re done, leave the rest up to the BBB to contact Tinder and give it an ultimatum.
Let’s face it, Tinder’s team is more likely to do something if it’s a refined organization asking nicely.
If not even BBB can get through Tinder, then…
7. Create a new Tinder account using the DatingZest service.
A hard reset in this context entails erasing your every trace of ever being part of Tinder, from the inside out, it's like getting unbanned from Tinder and starting a new fresh Tinder account.
Whatever it is, one thing’s for sure: Tinder has a vendetta against you, so you need to go incognito.
Step 1: Delete your current Tinder account IF possible. Proceed to delete the app as well.
Step 2: Get a new phone or hit factory reset to the point of nothing on yours. Create an entirely new AppStore/PlayStore ID that does not correlate with your old one.
Step 3: Connect to a different internet connection or data (only if you didn’t use data on your old Tinder account).
Step 4: Install the Tinder app and sign up using DatingZest’s Tinder phone service. They’re able to bypass the phone verification process, unlike many other services that are detectable by Tinder! Use a different email and photos as well.
Step 5: Re-model your account. No more using images of your dog! Tinder needs to know it’s a human behind the profile. Pick some different images of your dog, get photo-verified, and provide elaborate info.
Eradicate the anomaly!
The best piece of advice I can give you in this situation is to try and detect the anomaly—after doing this, you can try to fix it.
If you just can’t seem to fix being stuck in Tinder’s verification process, then it’s time to break up and move on with another dating app.
It sucks, but you can’t wait for an eternity for Tinder to fix an issue that isn't supposed to exist.
Though I doubt you won’t find your solution among these 7 methods.
I’ll be rooting for you.
Liam.
